I started my career in the counselling field in 1998, when I started volunteering at the Crisis Line. I liked this kind of work so much that I decided to pursue a career in counselling. Since then, I have worked at the Victoria Women’s Sexual Assault Centre and have been on the Sexual Assault Response Team. I have also worked for the Child and Family Counselling Association, where I supported children with special needs. In addition to my private practice, I currently work at BC Families in Transition (formerly the Separation and Divorce Resource Centre), where I do individual and couple’s counselling and co-coordinate a program (called Caught in the Middle) for children of divorce. I also work at a youth detox facility, where I counsel youth and support their families.
On a personal note, I am happily married (for 15 years) with 2 beautiful children.
